I first started using cv blades probably 25 years ago on the Sandy River. The blade had a hole in it and you could feel the vibration it added. It seems back then the blade was smaller. I brought the blade to other rivers using prawns and it caught a lot of fish. Recent 3 day trip my boat hooked 11 fish. It works well.

CV Vortex Blades are just like regular CV Blades, only different! Size 6 CV s are 3.5 class spinner blades. They will work great behind a 360° flasher. They were developed way back when for the serious salmon anglers along the Rogue River in Southern Oregon and spread from there.

Size 6 CV s are 3.5 class spinner blades. They will work great behind a 360 ° flasher. We really don’t know the purpose of the hole in the blade. The guides and anglers who use them swear by them and land lots of fish with them. Some folks say the ‘Vortex’ hole in these CV blades creates an unusual vibration that excites fish more than blades without. Others seem to think the hole creates bubbles somehow. Whether either theory holds water is hard to say. What’s easy to say is that this blade design has stood the test of time with serious anglers for decades, and that must mean something.
